Pismo von Strand is a very impressive 5 month old German Shepherd puppy. He is an extra large puppy with huge legs and paws. Our best guess is a lean 90 pounds when he is full grown. He has a big deep bark, but he is really a pussy cat. If out on a walk and another dog barks at him, he hides behind his foster mother. It is hard to remember that he is just a baby because of his size. He loves his new pack, he has just been in a foster home for one day and he makes sure he sticks very close to his canine sister and brother. He hadn’t seen a pool before and fell right in, but he is respectful now, he is always supervised when he is by the pool. He has had some formal obedience training and knows his commands. His foster family is fine tuning his housebreaking; he should be perfect in a few days. He was bought from a breeder in Pismo Beach by his family, he has had good care; he just needs to be in a home with people who are experienced with big dogs. He loves other dogs so much, we want to find him a home with other dogs. When Pismo was having his picture taken, a woman with a small white fluffy dog walked by, Pismo was so polite, the woman kept saying Pismo was a “gem”, he is definitely special!  If you want to know more about Pismo fill out an application and we will put you in contact with the foster family.
